Tacoma Food Co-op future direction

The Tacoma Food Co-op will meet at the end of July to hear members’ views on future direction. The group is dedicated to increasing consumption of healthy, local food. “We’ve worked hard to research retail options,” said Amber Englund, board president. “Now the board needs to hear what members think of the choices.  ”To accommodate members’ schedules, the Co-op will hold two meetings, both potlucks.  The first is Thursday evening, July 29th, 5:30 – 8:00 (pot-luck 5:30-6, meeting 6-8) at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1615 6th Avenue in Tacoma. The second is Saturday morning, July 31, 8:30 – 11:00 (pot-luck 8:30-9, meeting 9-11) at the Center for Spiritual Living, 206 North J Street in Tacoma. Children are welcome but no childcare is provided.  More information about the Co-op, including upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and membership, is available at www.tacomafoodcoop.com.
